Aldi Has No, Nut Bars

Gluten Free Aldi Has No Nut Bars

You might have recently seen the television commercial for the Aldi Has No Brands gluten free nut bars. While the commercial is relatively recent, the bars themselves have been on shelves for a longer time. You can find them in three varieties, and the packs will cost $3.49. Each pack will contain 6 bars and you can choose from Salted Caramel, White Chocolate, Almond and Raspberry as well as Date and Chia. All the bars are vegetarian as well as gluten free.

Aldi Has No Gluten Free Nut Bars

Salted Caramel Nut Bars

The salted caramel bars were one of the first I tried. In regards to allergens the bars contain peanuts, milk and soy. They do have a may contain for other tree nuts and sesame seeds. Other ingredients include but are not limited to corn, golden syrup, rice derivatives and buckwheat. The salted caramel bars were gooey with a subtle salt flavour. The caramel was delicious without being too sweet. The nuts do add a great texture but they won’t break your teeth. The flavours were lovely and it is something that I could eat again.

White Chocolate, Almond and Raspberry Nut Bars

The White Chocolate, Almond and Raspberry were my favourites. These bars do contain sustainable palm oil. In regards to major allergens, they have peanuts, almonds, milk and soy. There is a may contain for other tree nuts and sesame seeds. Other ingredients include rice, corn and buckwheat. These bars were much sweeter than the salted caramel. Furthermore, they had a slightly gooier texture. The raspberry pieces added a burst of fresh fruity flavour. The white chocolate drizzle on top is just enough. These are delicious and I would purchase them again.

Date & Chia Bars

The final flavour is the Date & Chia which again is a sweet variety. However, it is not sweet in the same fruity sugary flavour. It is somewhat floral and earthy. In regards to ingredients, these contain almonds. The may contain statement covers other tree nuts, peanuts, milk, soy and sesame seeds. Other ingredients include rice, corn, golden syrup, buckwheat and cinnamon. These were really crunchy and had a good texture but weren’t the favourite to my tastes.

The bars are good value and have a nice flavour. Although they won’t be any good for snacks in places that require no nuts, they are handy to have in a handbag. You can enjoy them either as a breakfast on the go or an emergency snack.
