Hi
I would like to get your Lentil Soup, but find that Aldi is not stocking it now. Where can I buy it on a regular basis?
Thank you for your help
Hi Daphne;
I am just a Coeliac Food Blogger and not a manufacturer of any specific brand. You will need to contact the company regarding stockists. I am not sure what product you are asking about either.

Hello… We love your Cornflakes but are concerned there is no advice on your Box advising on GMO Content.. Can you please confirm if Has NO has Any Genetically Mutated Organism in it?
Kind regards Glenn and clan
Hi Glenn and Clan;
I am just a Coeliac food blogger I do not work for Aldi. You will need to contact Aldi with your query.
Thanks for reading.

Hello lovely lady, I just read your review about the Coles Bake at Home Dinner Rolls. They were really amazing when they first came out, your review was excellent. But they have changed, they are now chewy and gluey, don’t crisp up in the oven, and are really hard to cut as they are so gluey. I wondered if you could do another review of them and see what you think. It seems to me that they have increased the Tapioca flour in the mix, which makes the dough easier to handle. But the results are awful.
HI. Am wondering where i can buy potato flour and lentil flour here in WA please??
Have tried everywhere but have only been able to find “potato starch” in a health food store here.
Hi Annette;
I know that Mckenzies does a small bag of lentil flour that you can pick up in Woolworths. I believe it was marked last time I checked. I don’t use potato flour unfortunately so I am not aware of any brands off the top of my head. I’d suggest looking in health food stores as they may have some.

Hi,
I’m a long time reader.
I’m writing to you because I’d love to contribute a guest post to your website.
I’ve been brainstorming some topics and I think your readers would get a ton of value from them.
I’ll make sure the piece is filled with information that can’t be found anywhere else. In exchange, all i expect is a backlink from within the main body of the article.
Do let me know if you like this proposal and if I can begin sending you some topic ideas.
Sincerely,
Hassan K.
Hi Hasan;

Thank you – Ashlee.
I live in Brisbane and my local Coles has stopped sticking Cooksimple products.
Do you know where I can purchase these products as my Daughter is a Coeliac and loves these products.
Hi Debra, Tenth Dot Brands is the distributor, you can get in contact with them regarding the products 🙂
Hi Ashlee,
I’ve been following your blog and Instagram page since diagnosed a couple of years ago, finding it so informative. One of my children has just been diagnosed and, while I can happily forego take away, he is wondering what his options are for an occasional treat! Any tips or suggestions? We don’t have any dedicated GF take away nearby.
Planning on stocking up on things at this weekend’s expo for sure!
Thank you!
Hi Jennifer;
Take-away is really quite risky and I very rarely do it. I usually pack my bag even as a teenager because it can’t be guaranteed that there will be something for you where you go. Highly recommend avoiding pizza, even if they serve gluten free bases with clean utensils if you have ever watched them the spoon from the sauce touches the pizza base then goes back into the container automatically contaminating it. Same with subway. Even if they use clean gloves they’ve already touched bread and then put their hands in the containers with the toppings filling them with crumbs. A lot of asian places will season their woks with soy sauce so even an option without soy sauce isn’t safe. If the food court that I am at has Indian, I usually ask about their curries and find they are safe. Sushi Sushi stores here in Melbourne do have some good gluten free sushi but contamination can happen so ask about preparation and get them to grab the rolls with clean gloves. I also sometimes do baked potatoes if a store has them but only if they use tongs for the potatoes and toppings.
Chips are almost never safe as they are cooked in shared fryers. If you are curious about the big chains then the official advice is to stay away. Most of the workers are teenagers and while some do care quite a few are just doing it to get by and won’t take care with your food. I have a friend who has worked in a few different big chains and has always told me no, nothing is safe at those stores.
Nando’s is the typical safe spot, however they recently introduced a marinade that contains gluten. I have heard that if you ask for your chicken to be cut on the halal board it can still be safe but haven’t personally looked into it since they glutened me on a public holiday. I believe they were tired, busy and taking short cuts.
It’s not really much help because take away isn’t something that a Coeliac is easily able to indulge in but I hope I have given you something to work with.
– Ashlee.
Thank you Ashley, very much appreciate your comprehensive reply.
Aldi did not sell in their yearly sale the has no mac and cheese pasta packs. Any idea how we can get them? Thanks.
Aldi has mentioned that they will not be bringing back the Mac and Cheese. They have said that the alfredo carbonara will be returning to stores next month.
Hey, I saw your article on gluten free breakfast cereals.
If you want to see some taste tests of these cereals there are some on YouTube.
Thanks for your work on this website 🙂
All I can say is thank you thank you. A friend sent me your post on Facebook. I am gluten free because of Hashimotos disease and I have been struggling to find something that doesn’t taste like cardboard. I have just read through your website and didn’t realise a lot of gluten free items are available at Coles and Aldi. I’m now off shopping. I have also subscribed to your newsletter so I can keep up to date with new products. Thank you for giving me hope.
Hi Sue;
The newsletter has been on a bit of a hiatus, so I apologise for your welcome message delay. I am happy to say that it is back this week! I am thinking I’ll even start on Mondays scouring through the online shopping catalogues to find on sale items to mention. I am glad that you find the website helpful 🙂

Hi there
My 11 yo son has recently been diagnosed with coeliac so I am a newbie to the GF world!
Thanks so much for your site – I have found it really helpful.
I am trying to track down GF dark chocolate to use in baking a cake. Do you know a suitable brand?
I believe sweet william do one but I can’t find it locally – I am in Geelong.
Thanks again for your site!
Hi Lou,
Welcome to you and your son to the gluten free family. My favourite dark chocolate to use in baking are the nestle chocolate melts. However if you need it to be dairy free as well – Sweet william chocolate can be found in Woolworths, coles and IGA stores. Alternatively I love kinnerton chocolate which i find in Big W stores and is dairy free, gluten free and nut free but is only a small bar so could get expensive.
I hope this helps!
– Ashlee
Thanks Ashlee.
I appreciate your help.
Lou
Hi! I recently came across your reviews and I am so glad I did! As a coeliac myself I have found it hard at times to avoid cross contamination when eating out, and the subsequent illness has increased my paranoia for trying new places. Your rating system is great. We recently tried Bowl Bowl in Smith St after reading your review and I can’t overstate how awesome it was to be able to enjoy dumplings for the first time since being diagnosed almost 10 years ago. Thanks again, keep up the great work!
I am really glad that you enjoyed safely eating out. 🙂
Hello there, I just want to ask you how can I buy the Mochi ice cream and from where in Sydney Australia??
I find them in small independent stores. Mostly international food grocery areas but I did see them in my local Foodworks recently. Hopefully this helps.
Hi, thank you so much for all your interesting and great reads ☺ i was wondering if you have been to a place called chicken on lygon? They have a big gluten free outside the front of there shop.
Hi Rita;
No I haven’t been there, it has been a while since I have been in the area and didn’t know it existed. I did hear about it on a Coeliac Forum in the past month and it is on my list to check out. iF you do head there let me know what you think. 🙂 I’ll probably be making time to check them out in November.
Hi Rita;
Just a quick update. I did contact Chicken on Lygon however after a conversation I have deemed them unsafe. The gluten free chicken signs are merely referring to the fact that they use the Lilydale gluten free labelled chicken in their food. However, they have mentioned they have no measures in place to minimise cross contamination and I get the impression they are not aware of Coeliac Disease in itself.
Hi Ashlee,
We found your website via Google, searching ‘Melbourne gluten free dumplings’.
We hope you don’t mind, we just wanted to make a minor correction – Bowl Bowl is not the only place in Melbourne serving gluten free dumplings. 8D House opened in March 2015, and we specialise in gluten free pan fried dumplings and Chinese pan wraps (jian bing)
Please feel free to offer our contact details to your readers. We’d be delighted if you have time to drop in for some tasting and write up a review too 🙂
Hi Perri & Ching;
My friends and I are actually dining with you in February so that I can experience your dumplings for myself.
I was excited to discover this site. I wanted to thank you for all these wonderful reads!!
I definitely like every bit of it and I have you bookmarked so I can look at every new post.
Hi there! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us so I came
to take a look. I’m definitely loving the information. I’m bookmarking and will be tweeting this to my
