VitaSoy Drinks

When you have to handle dairy free as well as gluten free it can be a bit challenging. I’ve previously reviewed the Califia farms almond milks which are handy but they only have one smaller size which works for on the go. Not to mention they don’t do a plain chocolate variety. The VitaSoy drinks range offers a few different options to your standard almond milk coffee. These aren’t labelled gluten free but they are tested which you can see in their nutritional panel. These will setyou back $3.65 at Woolworths and can be found in the chilled milk section with the Big Ms.

One of these options is their Soy Milk Vanilla Chai. It is the only non almond milk variety in the three. For major allergens it does obviously contain Soy. There is no may contain statement on the product. There aren’t a lot of other ingredients but they do contain cinnamon which can be an issue for some people. In terms of flavour this has a great vanilla bean taste. It does use natural vanilla bean which helps elevate that flavour. I don’t find the soy too overpowering which is really good.

Of course you know that I am partial to my almond milk and the other two varieties are both almond milk. The chocolate tastes like a thin chocolate milk to me. You can see the full back panel of the chocolate above. However, for major allergens these do contain almonds. There is no may contain on the product. The few ingredients that are in it include vegetable gum and of course cocoa powder. Again this honestly just tastes like chocolate milk to me. You may get a touch of nuttiness from the almonds but nothing too strong.

The final variety as mentioned above is another almond milk variety. This one is a double espresso. Obviously again this contains almonds as the major allergen and there is no may contain statement. Included in the short list of ingredients is vegetable gum. I really do like this double espresso variety, it has a good coffee flavour however it does bring out the bitterness in the almonds. I do pick this up when I need something on the go but in terms of almond coffee I prefer the Califia cold brew.

These three VitaSoy drinks are great for grabbing on the go if you need something gluten and dairy free. They aren’t a terrible price but they are a little steep. Still when you are on the go they are definitely handy.

Happy news she can drink it with out any side effects. Trouble is I can no longer find the chocolate flavor anymore. is there somewhere I can order some?
