By now most of us know of the Free & Naked Bars from Kez’s Kitchen. The range is currently available in four different flavours including:
- Banana Cake
- Choc Mud
- Sticky Date
They are lunch box friendly, vegan bars with no added sugar or artificial flavours or preservatives. The individually wrapped 25g bars come in packs of 5 and retail for roughly $6.00 a pack.
So we might know about those four but there are two new flavours that Kez’s Kitchen has added to their Free & Naked range. The brand is welcoming, Choc Crunch Protein and Popcorn Bars to the table. These two new additions certainly sound unique and I got the chance to taste them.
Coco Crunch Protein Bar
The New Coco Crunch Protein bars are, in one word – delicious. They have a rich bitter chocolate flavour with a rice puff style crunch. The texture is fudgy and almost decadent; this is broken up with the protein blend crisps.
I’ve had a fair few protein blends and I must say this one is very pleasant. There isn’t a strong flavour of protein powder through it. It definitely seems like a smart way to add extra protein to a diet.
If you prefer bars on the sweeter side then the quirky Popcorn Bar is worth trying. Naturally sweetened with Dates and Raisins, the bar is somewhere along the lines of caramel popcorn. I wasn’t really sure how this combination would work, but it does.
In amongst the sweet flavours of date and raisins, you’ll experience chunks of seeds and popped corn. This popped corn flavour resounds through the bar with a savoury note. There is definitely a lot more texture in this variety than the Coco Crunch.
In regards to allergen information, both of the new flavours include sesame seeds and the Coco Crunch contains Soy. Like the other Free & Naked bars, these do have a may contain for shared equipment, this statement covers, Milk, Peanuts and Tree Nuts.
As mentioned before, these will be reaching store shelves towards the end of June. Until then, try out the current varieties to sate your Kez Cravings.
