Gluten Free Joy Christmas Hamper

I’ve spoken about the Gluten Free Joy Hampers before. However, this year is Jane has introduced Christmas Hampers. With three options available, starting at $85, up to $300 for the luxury hamper. I chose the middle ground and picked up the Relax It’s Christmas at $130. These will be shipped with a decorative ornament and beautiful gold wrapping. The hamper that I purchased includes 8 full sized items from Australian brands. I’m just going to do an overview with prices for this article. If you would like me to review the products individually please let me know. These are a pre-order limited hamper so if you want one, do be quick.

Gluten Free Joy Christmas Hamper Itha's Puddings

The first two items in the hamper are both from Itha’s Gourmet Foods. To end your Christmas dinner you can enjoy the Date & Treacle pudding topped with Brandy Butterscotch sauce. The sauce will set you back $14 and the pudding $8. They are both available on the Itha’s Gourmet Website as well. I haven’t actually tried any of the Itha’s Pudding range yet so I am excited. Their products have won gold medal food awards so that says something. I have a lot of puddings to review, so I don’t know if I’ll put this one up this year or next year. Let me know if you’d want to hear all about it this year.

Another Brand that I’ve had on my list but not yet tried, the second item in the range is the Ogilvie & Co Cranberry Liqueur Port sauce. I haven’t seen this variety available, however the brand is sold at Myer stores. A rough estimate for the price is $6.25. I am hoping to use this in a recipe very soon, so stay tuned. In the $300 hamper, you can also get the gold flake truffle oil which is a product that is completely unnecessary and yet for some reason I still want to try. Not all of the Ogilvie & Co range is gluten free but they do have quite a few so check them out as well.

Up next is Adri’s Gingerbread which is both gluten and dairy free. I actually had my first try of this brand a few weeks ago. I was sent some in my Gluten Free Foods Mornington order. They will cost you $5.50 over at GF Foods Mornington for this pack. You can also pick them up in other Christmas designs. It’s a nice gingerbread, Brody thinks it is a little dry. I love the ratio of icing to cookie. They’re not too sweet and they have a nice spiced flavour. Honestly, a great little stocking stuffer.

For a Christmas platter, the Falwasser crispbreads are perfect. These are Rosemary & Sea Salt wafer crackers essentially. They are a favourite in our house and typically cost around $4.99 a packet. They’re strong enough to hold dips and toppings but have that thin light crunch of a wafer cracker. The light flavours of the rosemary and sea salt come through which also means you can eat them on their own.

For a dessert platter, the New Farm Confectionery salted caramel popcorn is a great option. The bag comes in at $8.00 and has a nice crispy texture with a sweet caramel note. It’s not overly sticky, sweet or too hard. Unlike other salted caramel products, I can taste the salt in this. A lovely crunchy sweet snack.

The hands most beautiful item in the hamper is this Bramble & Hedge Christmas Peanut Brittle. On their website it comes in at $29.95 and is under their Christmas range therefore it won’t be around for long. It’s peanut brittle coated in milk chocolate with candied french orange and cranberries. Quite firm and crunchy with a nice fruity flavour. It’s a nice not overly sweet treat.

Finally, it’s the Whisk & Pin Rosemary and Pink Salt Cashews which I got in my last hamper as well. These are a favourite of mine when it comes to snacking. The pack of these will set you back $10. They have a great salty rosemary flavour and are extremely moreish. If you like nuts, then definitely check these out.

That’s it for the Relax! It’s Christmas hamper. The contents definitely total at over $100 dollars and are conveniently all in a single hamper. It’s a great gift for the gluten free foodie in your life or just to spoil yourself at Christmas. Gluten Free Joy also does other hampers that aren’t Christmas themed so you can get your gluten free treats all year round.
