Can We Eat There: AAMI Park Stadium

AAMI Park Stadium

On Saturday after attending the gluten free high tea event at Armageddon Cakes in Geelong. Brody and I continued our annual tradition of attending Monster Jam at AAMI Park. With the rush of driving back from Geelong and then heading into the city, I figured we wouldn’t have time for dinner and decided to contact the stadium in advance. Their response was that there was a good selection of packaged gluten free options on level one near aisle four.

The enquiries team mentioned that they had sushi, rice paper rolls, sandwiches and salads. They also mentioned that I was able to bring in my own food as long as it wasn’t in a metal or glass container. What they failed to mention was that you could find Mrs Mac’s gluten free pies in their food outlets. That meant that it was a complete surprise when I found them there.

The Mrs Macs pies are fantastic. They come individually wrapped and heated in the packaging. Grabbing one and opening it I felt pretty excited to be able to enjoy a pie and a drink while enjoying the show just like Brody. I’m not sure how many they keep in stock at a time. I imagine it isn’t too many so they may sell out quickly. However knowing that there are options at the stadium is really fantastic.

While I will still continue to eat beforehand for events when I have the chance, it is good to know that Yes, we can eat there. Hopefully, AAMI Park continues to cater for those with dietary restrictions and expands their allergy-friendly menu.
